Grouping Organisms

🤔 Why Do We Group Living Things?

  • To make it easier to study.

  • To understand relationships between species.

  • To identify differences and similarities.

🔍 Basis of Classification:

  • Appearance: Does it have feathers, scales, or fur?

  • Habitat: Lives in water or on land?

  • Body structure: Number of legs, type of skeleton, etc.

🧪 Examples of Grouped Organisms:

  • Mammals: Humans, tigers (have fur, give birth to babies).

  • Birds: Eagles, sparrows (have feathers, lay eggs).

  • Insects: Butterflies, ants (six legs, exoskeleton).

  • Plants: Flowering (rose) and non-flowering (ferns).
