How have technical and economic development led to more consumption of resources?

Technical and economic development have increased the consumption of resources in the following ways:

    • Economic development promotes urban growth, which increases the demand for land, construction materials, energy, and transport.

  3. Modern Lifestyle:

    • Rising income levels and improved technology lead to a luxury-oriented lifestyle, increasing the use of vehicles, appliances, and gadgets, thus consuming more resources.

  4. Agricultural Advancements:

    • Use of modern machinery, chemical fertilizers, and irrigation has boosted production but also led to overuse of soil and water resources.

  5. Transportation and Communication:

    • Development in these sectors increases the use of petroleum, metals, and other natural resources on a large scale.
